Cam Turner

Cam is co-founder of The Data Guild and Co-Manager Oxford Angel Fund. He has an applied background in digital finance, software management, industrial data science, machine learning, crypto-currencies/blockchain and applied artificial intelligence. His recent projects include digital currencies retention in subsaharan Africa for the The Gates Foundation and the financial fraud prediction system for Starbucks. Additionally, he led a joint software development project with PwC, KPMG, SEC and Microsoft, a solution for Sarbanes-Oxley financial reporting compliance.

He served as founder and CEO of ClickStream Technologies, which was acquired by Microsoft, where he led the company’s Telemetry practice, managing essentially all inbound data systems, globally. Since then he co-founded The Data Guid, a boutique data science co-development practice in Palo Alto, helping Fortune 500 build and deploy advanced AI systems from design to production, with a focus on social impact. Cameron serves as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Stanford’s StartX accelerator, Venture Studio Advisor at Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and co-manages the Oxford Angel Fund. He serves on the External Technology Advisory Board for Accenture. Other board positions include and Cam holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College, an M.B.A. from Oxford University and M.S. in Statistics from Stanford University.
