Dina Ellis Rochkind is Of Counsel in the Paul Hastings Fintech and Payments practice and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Her practice focuses on representing clients before every U.S. federal banking agency and many state banking agencies in matters involving regulatory initiatives, regulatory legislation, and enforcement actions. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rochkind worked in the office of Rep. Mike Coffman (R-Colo.), where she served as Washington Director. Her experience encompasses working for the House Financial Services Committee, Senate Banking Committee and the Treasury Department. She has been involved in the drafting of almost every piece of financial services legislation over the last two decades including – the JOBS Act and the FACT Act.
Ms. Rochkind’s extensive experience spans the congressional and administrative branches of the federal government, including the transition between administrations, and multiple key legislative successes, especially involving the banking, securities, insurance, and housing industries, but also encompassing policy issues such as taxation, healthcare, and defense. She has led legislative advocacy on behalf of major corporate entities and advised congressional leaders on issues such as banking, insurance, other financial services, and economic development.
Prior to setting the legislative agenda and political strategy for Rep. Coffman, she served as Vice President of Federal Government Affairs for a mortgage lending company.
