Stephen Rutenberg is a principal at Polsinelli, an Am Law 100 law firm with about 800 lawyers in 21 offices. Stephen graduated from Brooklyn College with a B.A. in Biology and received his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a certificate in Policy and Management from the Wharton School. Stephen’s practice focuses on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology as well as distressed lending and bankruptcy claim transactions, around the world. He also assists clients with general financings, lending, and other corporate transactions. Stephen is a thought leader frequently writing and speaking on the FinTech and distressed trading markets.
Admitted to practice in New York and as a solicitor in England and Wales, Stephen has significant experience advising on financial technology and cross-border distressed trading matters and is recognized for this in the 2016 edition of IFLR1000 as a Rising Star. In February 2017, Stephen received the UJA-Federation of New York’s James H. Fogelson Emerging Leadership Award for his contributions to the New York legal and philanthropic communities.
